Virtuoso!
Every year
between the end of September and the beginning of October, over 10,000
string enthusiasts, luthiers and music operators from all over the world
gather in Cremona, the beautiful medieval hometown of Amati, Stradivari and
Guarneri, to attend Liuteria in Festival, with its exciting cultural events,
and the renowned trade fair Cremona Mondomusica.
In
this context, as from 2010, the Fondazione Antonio Stradivari
together with the Accademia Italiana degli Archi will invite recent
winners and laureates of International Competitions to take part in
Virtuoso!, where the excellence of the musicians can meet the
excellence of string instrument making. Participants will have the
opportunity to enjoy the magical atmosphere of Cremona, to try the best in
classical and contemporary instruments, to network and perform in an
international context.

Selection procedure of laureates
ARCHI
magazine is proud to have among its contributors some of the finest
Italian music critics who, over the years, have made a name for themselves
in the string world.
The
magazine and its correspondents are regularly invited by International
String Instrument Competitions to attend and review their final rounds. The
idea behind Virtuoso! is to invite those young artists who, more than
others, have captured the attention of the critics of ARCHI magazine
with the power of their performances and musical personalities.
