The Accademia
Italiana degli Archi (Italian Strings Society) is a non-profit national
association whose principal objectives are:

to promote
understanding and excellence of all aspects of string instruments
and bow making, restoration, research, teaching and performance.

to inspire and
support students, amateurs and professionals through the exchange of
information and the organisation of events.

to encourage
and facilitate communication at local, national and international
level.
The
members of the Accademia Italiana degli Archi include professional
and amateur musicians, music teachers and students,
violinmakers, bow makers, music operators, and
string instrument enthusiasts.
The
Accademia organises, both for its members and the broader stringed
instrument community, numerous events and activities,
often in
collaboration with Festivals, Chamber Music Promoters, Music Academies,
Orchestras and Competitions:

Cultural activities (conferences, a festival, concerts, films and
documentaries projections)
·
Educational activities (courses and masterclasses. Prizes and
scholarships)
·
Editorial activities (publication and cultural, artistic, educational
and scientific material)
·
Promotional and informative activities (takes part in the main events of
the field).
